Meet The Trustees

A brief introduction to those behind Spaniel Rescue Foundation

Lisa Jamieson-Bailey

Founder and Chair of Spaniel Rescue Foundation

I am the founder and Chair of Spaniel Rescue Foundation, and bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and a profound love for spaniels to the forefront of our charity. I have used my experience as a senior manager in the NHS to ensure that our charity is professional and sympathetic to the people we interact with as well as caring for the dogs that come into our care.

I have been volunteering with dog rescue charities for over 20 years. More recently my husband and I have fostered and adopted a number of spaniels and I have volunteered for another rescue charity with behind-the-scenes administration. I have always found volunteering for animal rescue charities to be so rewarding.

I am very proud to be working alongside an amazing team of volunteers with Spaniel Rescue Foundation and hope you will support us in our mission to make a difference to the lives of spaniels, their owners and everyone we interact with.

Ann Richardson

Operations Support Trustee

I am the Operations Support Trustee for Spaniel Rescue Foundation overseeing the Vet Admin Team, Microchips Team and the Transport Team, as well as Insurance.

I am a retired NHS professional with previous experience in dog rescue. I have used skills from both my working life and dog rescue to help set up and run Spaniel Rescue Foundation. I am immensely proud to be part of this exciting new charity.

We share our home with two spaniels who love muddy walks and sofa cuddles. Both are ball obsessed and enjoy Mantrailing as well as Gundog and Scentwork classes. We enjoy exploring the lovely countryside in North Yorkshire, Scotland, the Peak District and Northumberland.

Jane Robertson

Operations Trustee

As Operations Trustee for the Spaniel Rescue Foundation, I oversee the journey of all our dogs from the time they come into the charity, their time with their fosterer, right through to finding their forever home with wonderful new owners.

I bring with me a wealth of business experience from other industries and have been involved with dog rescues for a number of years. I am delighted to work with such a talented team of volunteers who all bring compassion and dedication to every dog in our care. In my role, I work closely with our team to facilitate a seamless transition for each spaniel in our care.

Here at the Spaniel Rescue Foundation, we recognise their journey into foster care is a crucial phase in their path to adoption. This involves collaborating with fosterers to provide a nurturing environment for every dog, ensuring they receive the love, care, and attention they deserve.

Our commitment extends beyond mere caretaking; we strive to create a holistic experience that addresses the unique needs and characteristics of every dog. By working in tandem with relinquishing owners, foster families, and prospective adopters, we aim to orchestrate a harmonious process that prioritises the well-being and happiness of every dog.

I look forward to contributing to the success of the Spaniel Rescue Foundation as we strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of all our dogs.

Trustee Education, Training and Behaviour

I am the trustee for education, behaviour, and training at Spaniel Rescue Foundation, looking after a comprehensive team of canine professionals. The team includes behaviourists, trainers, veterinarians, vet nurses, dieticians, groomers, physiotherapists, and more, all working together to provide holistic support for the dogs in our care.

I am combining my passion for dog behaviour, work as a dog trainer, nearly a decade in communications and event management, and experience gained from volunteering with various dog rescues over the past four years to support the creation of Spaniel Rescue Foundation.

I share my home with a rescue dog, Penny: a Springer Spaniel x Labrador mix. She entered my life as a short-term foster, but fate intervened, and she chose me as her new person and changed my life for the better.

For fun Penny and I dabble in hobby gundog work, trick training and hoopers.
