Founder & Chair of Spaniel Rescue Foundation

Lisa Jamieson-Bailey

I am the founder and Chair of Spaniel Rescue Foundation, and bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and a profound love for spaniels to the forefront of our charity. I have used my experience as a senior manager in the NHS to ensure that our charity is professional and sympathetic to the people we interact with as well as caring for the dogs that come into our care.

I have been volunteering with dog rescue charities for over 20 years. More recently my husband and I have fostered and adopted a number of spaniels and I have volunteered for another rescue charity with behind-the-scenes administration. I have always found volunteering for animal rescue charities to be so rewarding.

I am proud to be working alongside an amazing team of volunteers with Spaniel Rescue Foundation and hope you will support us in our mission to make a difference to the lives of spaniels, their owners and everyone we interact with.

Communications & Marketing Trustee

Karen Spinner

As Comms & Marketing Trustee, I help make sure our dogs find their voices.

With more than two decades’ experience building brands and businesses across sectors from publishing to tech to FMCG, I bring strategic expertise to the board, while supporting our brilliant team of volunteers on everything from brand and campaigns to social media, PR and storytelling. Whether it's raising our profile, connecting with supporters or making sure every dog's story gets told in a way that moves people to act, I'm here to help the charity amplify its message and drive impact.

I’ve been a passionate animal advocate all my life and a committed vegan for the past eight years. I live in west London with my husband and when I’m not working or volunteering I have a busy schedule acting as PA to our beloved cocker spaniel, Monty.

IT & Web Trustee

Steve Crisp

I’m the IT and Web Trustee for Spaniel Rescue Foundation, combining my extensive technical experience with a genuine passion for spaniel welfare. With a long career in IT, I focus on building reliable, user‑friendly digital systems that help the charity operate smoothly and connect effectively with supporters.

As part of this I oversee the foundation’s website, online tools and digital presence, ensuring information is clear, accessible and aligned with the charity’s mission.

My commitment to rescue work is deeply personal. I share my home with two spaniels - an English Springer and a working cocker - both adopted from UK rescue charities. One of them was rehomed through Lisa, Spaniel Rescue Foundation’s founder and chair, giving me a first‑hand appreciation of the charity’s compassion and impact.

Outside of my trustee role, I enjoy family life. My youngest daughter works as an equine vet, a connection that keeps animals at the heart of home life too.

Education Trustee

Sophie Winspear

As Trustee for Education, I focus on supporting an amazing team to develop accessible, practical guidance that supports responsible ownership and helps spaniels and their families thrive together.

I believe education and early support can transform difficult situations into hopeful new beginnings and I am committed to ensuring our resources give owners and carers the knowledge, confidence and compassion to provide safe, fulfilling lives for their dogs.

Professionally, I am a Chief People Officer, leading people strategy for a fast-growing, purpose-led organisation. I bring experience in learning and development, capability building and creating environments where individuals and teams can thrive.

Outside of work, animals are a huge part of my life. You’ll usually find me with my Labrador, Hugo, or  my horses, Freddie and Ralphy. I’ve also recently added two Dartmoor lambs, Devon and Delilah, to my growing pack, so it’s safe to say my passion for animal welfare extends well beyond my day job.

Treasurer

Andy Martin

As treasurer I oversee all financial aspects of the charity, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, to ensure its short and long-term viability.

In addition, I also look after the rehoming side to help find the forever homes for our lovely rescues.

I have 25+ years of business experience as well as the more fun experience of taking care of my own dog and the various foster dogs that we take in.
