Apply to become a fosterer
At Spaniel Rescue Foundation, we’re committed to providing the very best care for all our dogs, so we’re always looking for fosterers to provide a safe, loving home while we search for the perfect forever family.
We don’t have kennels or a rehoming centre, so our entire rescue operation relies on volunteers to open their homes to spaniels in need. And with more dogs needing help every day, we’ll never have too many fosterers.
Why Foster a Dog?
-
It’s an opportunity to make a real difference to the life of a spaniel in need
-
You can enjoy having a spaniel, without long-term commitment
-
You’ll help us understand each dog’s personality and specific needs
-
It’s flexible. We know life happens, so we’ll work around your availability
-
We’ll cover vet bills, flea/worm treatments and essential costs
-
Our behaviourists and trainers will be on hand to help you to better understand spaniels and their needs
-
You’ll get a temporary best pal, guaranteed to fill your life with joy and laughter
-
If you fall head over paw pads, you’ll be first in line to adopt them!
Your Responsibility as a Fosterer
-
Commit to the care of your foster dog, with daily exercise
-
Ensure they're not left alone for more than four hours over a 24-hour period
-
Treat them as one of your own – with food, water, toys (and lots of cuddles)
-
Support their training as required (with help from our team)
