Tilly is a beautiful, sweet and sensitive girl who didn’t have the best start in life. Tilly came into SRF after being found abandoned and trapped in barbed wire which was wrapped around her leg. A kind passerby managed to free her and take her to a vet where she spent the next 10 days being cared for by their team.
Tilly is a very gentle girl who has lots of love to give and is growing in confidence every day. She does get a little worried when meeting new people and other dogs, and just needs some reassurance to know she will be ok. She has found new experiences a little scary such as the waves in the sea and cyclists racing past, however is gaining confidence every day! She loves to trot by your side knowing that you are happy to keep her safe and will help build her confidence.
Tilly needs a family with lots of patience, time and love to give her. She loves following you around the house, sitting next to you being fussed with lots of belly rubs.
She would prefer a home with no other pets to ensure she enjoys all the love and attention, however, could learn to get along with another dog in time.
Her wound has almost healed however, she is still a little sensitive around her back foot but is gaining confidence daily.

Tilly adores her food and loves getting treats! She will try and eat things that are not hers so will need them kept out of reach. She also eats with a slow feeding bowl to slow her down as she is so eager to eat her food.

Tilly is now fully housetrained and has learned a variety of commands such as sit, down and to give her paw. She will need her new family to continue with ongoing training, especially recall as she currently remains on a long line whilst learning to return on a walk.
She is fine in traffic but can find cyclists and sudden noises quite scary. Once reassured, she is happy to continue her adventure and loves sniffing and exploring. As she is still building up her muscles, she needs some help getting into the car, but once in will lie down quietly. Whilst she will happily wait for you to clip on the lead, she can be enthusiastic to get out to explore her surroundings and can pull on the lead when first starting her walk. She just needs further training.

Tilly is fine to be left for short periods although may bark or whine at first but soon settles down in her crate with the tv on. She does like to be with you when it is dark and prefers to be with you when its bedtime. She currently sleeps in her crate in the bedroom and once settled, sleeps through the night and waits patiently for you to get her out in the morning.

She loves chasing her ball and, when excited to see you, will bring you her rabbit or bee tug toy to show them to you.

This beautiful girl has so much love to give to the right family and needs someone with the patience to give her the confidence to shine.
