Marley was dumped in someone’s garden - he and three siblings were left in a plastic box that was tied around their mum’s neck. Thankfully someone found mum and the pups and cared for them before being handed over to Spaniel Rescue Foundation.

As with all the puppies, Marley was suffering from a bad flea infestation on his tiny body which led to him losing some of his fur. He was smelly, itchy and confused.

Despite his start in life, Marley has shown incredible resilience and is full of love, fun and confidence.  He has been in foster care for 2 weeks and has improved so much. He is gaining weight, and his fur is slowly beginning to grow back. His personality is starting to shine through.

Marley is a really handsome cheeky, chunky chappy – he is often the instigator of play and loves rough and tumbling with the others. Although he is the least cuddly of the pups, he is happy to be cuddled but often wants to get down so he can carry on playing. He usually cuddles up with the other pups at sleep time but can often be found by himself when not asleep. When the pups first arrived, Marley seemed to be the most confident, but as they are settling in, he has started to look a little less confident compared to the others.

Marley loves his food! He currently weighs 3.1kg

Ideal Home for Marley

Marley will be looking for a forever family who will provide him with the love, care and attention he deserves, but can also respond to his unique personality. He will need ongoing training and socialisation with other dogs and people to become a confident and happy dog.

Marley will fit into most homes – he would happily live with another dog but would also be ok by himself. He will need an active home where he is given lots of physical and mental stimulation to ensure he develops into a wonderful adult dog.

Although we recognise that people need to work, we will not consider rehoming a puppy to people who work full time away from home.
