Waffle – The Sweetest Cocker Spaniel Looking for Her Forever Home 🧇

Waffle is a gorgeous, orange roan Cocker Spaniel with a heart full of love and a tail that rarely stops wagging! Found as a stray, this beautiful girl has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find her special forever home.

Despite a tough start, Waffle is incredibly affectionate and thrives on cuddles – she’ll hop onto your lap at every opportunity and loves being close to her people. She’s laid-back at heart, happy to snooze by your desk, but also perks up with excitement for her walks, especially when she spots her harness!

Waffle’s ideal home would be:

-
Calm, patient and loving
-
With a predictable routine to help her continue learning
-
With access to a secure garden (preferred, but not essential)
-
Without young children or busy environments
-
Either as an only dog or with a very calm, tolerant companion
-
With someone happy to share the sofa and give plenty of cuddles!

Waffle is still building her fitness and confidence, so walks are gentler for now, but she’s showing potential for more activity as time goes on. A typical nose-to-the-ground Spaniel, she loves exploring and pottering in a secure field. She’s also happy on a long line and doesn’t stray too far – perfect for those working on recall.

Due to her strong attachment to people, Waffle struggles being left alone and will need a home where someone is around most of the time. She's happiest when close by, preferably on the sofa – or even the bed!

Although Waffle doesn’t seem to have had much previous training, she’s clever and food-motivated, already learning tricks like “sit” and “lie down for cuddles”. Toilet training is a work in progress, but she’s coming along nicely with encouragement and routine.

Waffle is living with a small resident dog and is generally calm and neutral with them, though she’d likely prefer to soak up all the attention for herself. She hasn’t been tested with cats or children, so we’re looking for a child-free home or one with older, dog-savvy children (12+).

Medical notes:
Waffle has some signs of hip sensitivity and may develop early arthritis. The vet has advised continued gentle exercise and possible pain relief if necessary.

She travels well in the car, has been a superstar at the vets, and is currently up to date on vaccinations, flea and worming treatments.
