Betty – A Lively and Loving Young Sprollie Looking for Her Forever Home
Meet Betty, a 10-month-old Sprollie (Springer Spaniel x Collie) with boundless energy and a heart full of love. With her striking liver and white coat, this bright and affectionate young dog is looking for an active home where she can thrive.
Betty is full of enthusiasm for life. She’s playful, intelligent, and always eager to be involved in whatever you’re doing. She’s still learning boundaries – with both humans and other dogs – but she’s keen to please and responds well to training. She’s already mastered "sit," has good impulse control for treats, and is working on "leave it." Continued training will be key to helping her reach her full potential.
While in foster care, Betty was unfortunately attacked by another dog, which left her with a wound that required time to heal. Although she has recovered well and the vet has confirmed there are no long-term issues, this experience understandably knocked her confidence, particularly around larger dogs. It also delayed her opportunity to work on recall training, as she needed to be kept on the lead during her recovery. Now that she’s back to full health, she’s ready to build her confidence again and begin recall training properly. She naturally likes to stay close to her handler, so with consistent work, her recall should come along well.
What Betty Needs:
✔️ An active home with regular exercise – she enjoys long walks and mental stimulation.
✔️ A secure garden where she can burn off some energy.
✔️ Someone home most of the time, at least initially, as she’s still working through separation anxiety.
✔️ A family or individual with experience of high-energy breeds.
✔️ Children over 12, as she can be excitable and doesn’t always realise her own size.
✔️ Lives happily with other dogs

Betty is up to date with vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and travels well in the car. She sleeps happily in her crate overnight and has no known medical issues. She will need patient and consistent training to help with her excitement around walks and her separation anxiety, but with the right home, she’ll make a fantastic companion.
