Ron has been treated for fleas and worms, is fully vaccinated and microchipped. He will be adopted with a contract to neuter when he reaches the appropriate age.
Ron was dumped in someone’s garden - he and three siblings were left in a plastic box that was tied around their mum’s neck. Thankfully someone found mum and the pups and cared for them before being handed over to Spaniel Rescue Foundation.
As with all the puppies, Ron was suffering from a bad flea infestation on his tiny body which led to him losing quite a bit of fur. He was smelly, itchy, underweight and confused.
Despite his start in life, Ron has shown incredible resilience and is full of love, fun and confidence. He has been in foster care for 2 weeks and has improved so much. He is gaining weight, and his fur is slowly beginning to grow back. His personality is starting to shine through.
Ron (or Ronald Weasley when he’s being naughty) is everyone’s favourite puppy - he is such an impish but loveable boy! He is full of mischief and is always in the middle of all rough-and-tumble play. Although he’s quite boisterous, Ron really loves his cuddles with people and stretches up when he wants to be picked up. He loves playing with toys and is always on the go.
Ron has put on the least weight – mainly because he’s more interested in everything that is going on around him rather than eating his food. He currently weighs 2.36kg

Ideal Home for Ron
Ron will be looking for a forever family who will provide him with the love, care and attention he deserves, but can also respond to his unique personalities. He will need ongoing training and socialisation with other dogs and people to become a confident and happy dog.
Ron needs a home with energetic spaniel experience. He has a big character, and he will likely grow into a full-on, very active adult. His forever family will need to be prepared to ensure he has a lot of mental stimulation and exercise as he grows so he develops into a polite boy. He would suit a home with another dog who will be able to tolerate his exuberant puppy behaviour but would also be fine as an only dog.
Although we recognise that people need to work, we will not consider rehoming a puppy to people who work full time away from home.
